Renewal Requirements
The following requirements must be met by scholarship recipients seeking to renew their scholarships after each semester:
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- Demonstrate progress towards particular educational goals.
- Adhere to the code of student conduct as defined in the CCC Student Policy Manual, which is in accordance with the ideals of DMK.
- Meet and communicate regularly with the assigned City Colleges of Chicago college advisor.
- Meet with the DMK scholarship coordinator prior to each semester to review course selection. Once the academic coordinator approves the course load, it cannot be changed without approval.
- Attend all DMK seminars, meetings, and mentoring events held during the semester. Through collaborative effort at these meetings, students will have the opportunity to gain valuable information, experience, skills and contacts.
- Contact the CCC district office's financial aid department each spring if planning to continue in the fall to ensure requirements are fulfilled in order to secure available financial aid for the coming school year.
Please note that DMK will be a resource for scholarship recipients during their City College of Chicago education. Should students need assistance with solving problems or addressing concerns, DMK should be contacted.
